Be brave

Medical Presentations, delivering, presenting

Overcome Your Fears...

Rejection, Boredom, Poor Timing, Forgetting

Aim for accuracy and a new perspective.

Give yourself workable timelines.

Get organised early.

Present about something you like and understand with your heart.

Practice, Practice, Practice.

Speak with enthusiasm.

Vary your voice tone.

Enjoy their reaction, whatever it may be.

How to remember your presentation?

Memorising is difficult and discouraging if you forget something.

Reading from your notes can alter your intonations and restrict eye contact.

Visual slides are effective in:

-creating associations

-word triggers

-memory pathway

-dividing your presentation into points

-helping with time allocation of topic points.

Share information that will create good change

A study by Wagner et al. (2015) revealed that happy pictures made people feel even happier when they felt they had shared that experience with a friend. Presenting topics focused on managing solutions to problems and interpersonal relationships require positive attitudes to increase optimism, consistency and the best delivery.

Speech that directs the audience to avoid bad outcomes is more memorable (Baumeister, Bratslavsky, Finkenauer & Vohs 2001). The activity of coping with conditioned fear can affect emotions that heighten memory retention.

Breathing synchrony with words

Control your breathing to slow, deep breaths before you start.

Concentrating on breathing gives you a sense of self-control and aligns you more with your spirit.

English is a language that has been created for us to speak in synchrony to our respiratory cycle. We naturally exhale to begin a sentence and inhale during pauses or towards the end of a sentence (Gussenhoven, 2002).

Build trust and a strong relationship

Generosity, patience, flexibility, openness, consistency, and dependability promotes trust.

Build trust the right way using truthful information and be dedicated to healing.

Prevention is important in protection.

Innovated studies give guidance.

Misguided practices need discouragement.

Build confidence in the industry.

Body Movements and Gestures

Any movement that reinforces or strengthens your message is good, and any movement that detracts the audience from your message is not good. Generally, hand movements are synchronised with verbs.

Embrace Silence

Silence is a moment that builds confidence. It gives the audience and yourself a pause in emotions associated with protection. It can be impacting... give the audience time to feel their emotions.
